MISSION
The ASET Foundation supports educational initiatives, programs and special projects designed to advance and support excellence in quality patient care by providing resources to electroneurodiagnostic professionals whereby they enhance their knowledge, understanding and skills in the field.
PURPOSE
The Foundation serves as the philanthropic arm of ASET. Its primary purpose is to enhance health care by developing philanthropic resources for the promotion and support of education and research in the electroneurodiagnostics profession and industry. The ASET Foundation seeks broadly based financial support from professional, public, private and corporate sources. The common consideration in all Foundation initiatives is the impact of patient care.
CORE VALUES
The Foundation is committed to a core set of values of that promotes the highest standards of patient care through educational development and research. The core set of values includes accountability to the public, commitment beyond the law, respect for the worth and dignity of individuals, respect for pluralism and diversity, transparency, integrity and honesty and responsible stewardship of resources.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Foundation is comprised of no more than nine members, of whom one shall be a physician, one shall be a public member, and four or more shall be from the past or present ASET Board of Trustees with at least one of those being an ASET Officer. All candidates to the Foundation Board of Directors shall be selected from among contributors to the Foundation.
